As the world grapples with the challenges and opportunities presented by the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence, the UK will host the first major global summit on AI safety. It will bring together key countries, leading tech companies and researchers, in order to coordinate an international response to the extreme risk posed by AI.
What is decided upon here may influence our common future directly. Much is at stake! With this in mind, Existential Risk Observatory and Conjecture organise this event, the second out of a series of two, in order to talk about what this summit on the development of artificial intelligence should produce: What are the best scenarios with regards to existential risks from AI, and what are the worst, for humanity?
We will host none other than a talk by Prof. Stuart Russell, followed by a panel discussion that brings together Conjecture’s Connor Leahy and Andrea Miotti, as well as leading voices from the societal debate and the political realm, including investor Jaan Tallinn, co-founder of CSER, ICFG’s Annika Brack, Future of Life Institute’s Mark Brakel and economist Alexandra Mousavizadeh, and more to be announced! The moderator of the afternoon will be David Wood, chair of the London Futurists.
Be quick and reserve your spot – only 300 spots can be allocated! Can’t make it? We are looking into recording/livestreaming options, stay tuned! Interested in the our previous AI Summit Talk? You can find a recording here!
